This reminds me of the time when my kids were about 6 and 7. There was writing in Crayon on my son's bedroom wall. When I asked him why he did it, he said it was his sister. Problem was... it was her name and it was misspelled... with the first letter of his name! And I'm pretty sure his sister knew how to spell her own name at that point...

 

Running into Fall... Literally.

A chilly, but beautiful night for a run. Managed to run faster than I have been for some reason and got in 7.2 miles. Felt awesome! Except for the part where I was admiring the Halloween decor on a dark street and ran into a pile of leaves... with flashlight in hand. It was off of course. Yeah. That's me... What do these neighbor people think this is?? Fall or something??

If you are headed out for a Fall hike, I highly recommend wearing a pair of those HD glasses. No kidding. The yellows, oranges and red seem to jump right out at you when otherwise it would be just a mundane scene. Check out this pic normal on the left and the right is filtered in HD. Trippin'... Yes.. I actually discovered this by accident. I was seeing all the cool colors and such over the past week and I was taking pictures. Except when I got home and looked at them on the computer, they didn't look the same. When I was hiking today I got in a really shaded area and I took off my glasses. I then realized that all of the bright colors disappeared and it hit me as to what was going on. Duh!

Spiders Don't Freak Me Out... Usually

Usually spiders don't freak me out, but when I go out the back door of my basement and run into full body sized web, in the hair, face, and everything, and the 3/4 inch diameter spider is in the web right in front of my eyeball... it's time to freak the hell out!

You should have seen the size of this spider. I was like a ninja all over the place trying to get him off my face.

Sometimes When You Want A Cat to Move... You Gotta Sit on it!

As I went to sit down at my computer which is in front of the couch, my cat was sitting in my spot and wouldn't move. So I sat on him lightly and moved around a bit. Finally he got up.  I sat down, he sat beside me and looked at me with a half asleep, half confused look as if to say "wtf?"

I Love October

October...  I love it because it's my favorite time of year, yet at the same time it hate it because of Fall allergy season combined with the drop in temperatures gives the aches and agony of asthma on most days.  I guess it's kind of like having a girlfriend or wife...

So I guess it is a bad thing when you are drying your hair in the morning when suddenly the dryer stops and smoke comes out of the handle... the frickin' GFI switch didn't even go off!

I had a weird dream last night that I was watching TV and thought it would be a good idea to try peanuts in my caffeine free Diet Pepsi. I could recall the taste and everything, which wasn't that bad actually. However, that is until... I woke up on the couch this morning and there was my caffeine free Diet Pepsi that I was drinking while watching TV the night before...   with peanuts in it.

What is really disturbing is that I actually would have thought it was a dream if I didn't find the peanuts the next morning.  Once after I went to bed I woke up in the middle of the night downstairs on the couch with a half eaten pretzel in my hand!  I wonder what the hell else I do in my sleep that I don't know about...

I came in sat down with a drink and looked at an ad on my Facebook page that had a pretty woman on it and I could swear it read "3 ways to massage your STICK" :/   ...I was thinking "why in the world would they put that on here?" Then I looked at it closer and it clearly read "3 ways to make your message STICK"... my bad...

The Cat That Can Open Locks - The Sh*t that I Wake Up To

So I awoke at 5:30 this morning and I wanted to get more sleep. I fed my cats so they wouldn't wake me up to be fed.  My one dumb*ss cat (that's is his official nickname now) gets fed in a cage, otherwise he will eat the other cats' food. He as figured out how to open the cage,  so I now have to put a clasp on it which he then figured out how to open that (don't ask how).  So I now have to block the cage door with the heavy cat food can.  Well, he found out this morning the hard way, that this is not always a good idea.

The cat that can open locks.  This cat can open that lock from the inside and get out when he wants to.  Except for one particular morning...

To his misfortune, I figured out how he can open the clasp.

I go to let him out this morning before going back to sleep and he is hanging there on the side of the cage upside down yowling with his paw stuck in the latch device. He had attempted to put his claw in the clasp hinge to open it and it got stuck in there on the outside of the can.  How?  Why?  These are questions that are too much to answer that early in the morning.

 So there is this cat hanging there yowling in pain with it's paw stuck through the cage.  Every time  tried to touch his paw or turn the clasp down to free his paw, he would scream in pain and try to claw me with his other front paw.  If I tried reaching through the cage to hold him still so I could work on it, he would try to bite me!  What a predicament!

So about the time I'm thinking "Ok, how the hell am I going to get him out of this mess", the other cats had come along and decided to join in on the fun...   Oh joy.  Since he was in fighting mode because he was in pain, the other cats took this as a challenge and began to try and fight him through the cage.  This caused him to move around more which caused him to pull his claw even more which caused him to thrash and scream even more.  WTF? 

Fortunately, in his twisting to try and get at the other cats with his hind feet he put his back to the cage door and I tried to grab him by the scruff of the neck to hold him still.  While I only succeeded for a brief second, this freaked him out and he totally spazzed and twisted and yowled trying to get away.  While in the process of doing this, his claw came free of the lock.  Tell me that wasn't a relief.  Because my next step after removing the other cats was to cut his claw off.  I'm sure he would have enjoyed that immensely.

Stupid cats.
